Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Our tour starts with your arrival at Delhi, where upon meeting our representatives will welcome and take you to a luxurious overnight stay at Hotel Palace Heights where you can refresh, relax and prepare yourself for the tour of India starting next day. You will be briefed about the various places to be visited and given the necessary documents and travel itinerary.
Day 02: Delhi Tour
After a healthy locally prepared breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken on an intriguing guided tour of the city. There are lot of historically important monuments, forts and places at Delhi which are some of the best architectural examples in the world. We will start with visit to the famous Mughal emperor “Humayun’s Tomb”, 72 meters high tower “Qutub Minar” and Iron Pillar which has been present for over 1500 years. Then we will pass through Embassy area filled with early 18th century government buildings to Connaught place, the shopping town of the city. We will also make our way through the old Delhi to visit the ancient Jamna Mosque standing still since 1650 and the shopping epicenter Chandni Chowk ,always buzzing with various shoppers, vendors and hawkers. Later we will visit Red Fort, built by Mughal emperor Shal Jahan in 17th century and Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were cremated.
Day 03: Delhi to Jaipur
This day, we drive to Jaipur after having a wholesome breakfast at Delhi hotel. It is 5 hours drive covering 270 kms in distance. You will be checked into Naila Bagh Palace there for stay which is an actual palace now turned into a hotel for tourists to give them a feel of the royal living. It is a beautiful palace which is built on an area of 21000 sq. ft. and surrounded by courtyards and gardens from all sides where you will find colorful peacocks just wandering around in their grace. Take a tour of the hotel premises to explore and appreciate the wall paintings of the yesteryear maharajas and maharanis and also the beautifully designed corridors and woodworks. After rest and relaxation, you will be taken on a shopping spree in the local Jaipur markets where you can explore the ancient but still popular craftworks of block printing on clothing; kundan (stone) embellished enameled jewellery and various other exciting handicrafts of Rajasthan.
Day 04: Jaipur
The day starts with visit to Amber fort, which is situated 11 kms from Jaipur on top of the Aravali hills overlooking the Maota lake. The journey to the top of the hills is made on elephants which increase your joy and excitement. Upon arrival, our guide will elaborate on the history of this architectural masterpiece. Feel free to explore and appreciate the fort’s mirror-studded alcoves,
dazzling mosaic works and cool water swings which have been carefully preserved for generations.
After Amber fort, we will take you to the “Hawa Mahal” or Palace of the Winds. It was built for the sole purpose of allowing royal women to peer down and see outside without being noticed, through its 593 stone screens. Its five storied pink sandstone structure with honey combed windows are definitely going to marvel you.
After lunch, you will be taken on a tour of the City Palace which is built at the centre of the city on a huge area surrounded by walls and seven gates. The gates were equipped with armed soldiers and ammunitions in order to protect the people inside from invaders. The city palace is a fine example of fusion of Royal Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Next, we visit the Solar Observatory - an astronomical treasure house, with solar device that give accurate predictions till date.
Day 05: Jaipur/ Fatehpur Sikri/ Agra
Fifth day of the Mini India Tour begins with drive to Agra after breakfast at Jaipur Hotel. On the way, we stop to visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. The ancient Mughal architecture has been perfectly preserved to reminisce the memoirs of Mughal history and their grandeur. Upon arrival at Agra, you will be checked into Wyndham Grand Agra which is a 5 star equivalent hotel and you can all the superior benefits and facilities. The rest of the day will be provided for rest and relaxation and if you want, you can visit the localities in the car provided at your disposal.
Day 06: Agra Tour/ Delhi Departure
Your last day of tour will include visit to one of the 7 wonders of the world, the majestic and splendid Taj Mahal at Agra, early in the morning. Explore your romantic side here at Taj Mahal, which was built by Shah Jahan in remembrance of his wife Mumtaj begum, whom he loved very dearly. It is a white marble building with beautiful intricate workmanship on its walls, corridors and doorways. The reflection of sunlight at dawn creates a magical effect for the visitors and makes them spell bound each and every time.
After our Taj Mahal visit, we will take you back to hotel for a sumptuous breakfast. The we will take a ride to visit the massive Agra Fort built by the great emperor Akbar, the Moti Masjid and several other historic buildings. After concluding the tour, we will drive you to Delhi, wherefrom you will proceed for your departure.
